Isabel Emilie Werderman, a life long resident of New Haven, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the age of 100 years.
Isabel was born on November 6, 1912 in New Haven, a daughter of Frank and Elma (nee Luitje) Erdman. On June 19, 1943, Isabel married Norman Werderman in New Haven on the Erdman family farm. She was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ray. Isabel was baptized at St. John Lutheran on December 15, 1912 and confirmed there on June 7, 1925. She was on the Ladies Aid and LLA. Isabel enjoyed farming, gardening and cooking. Isabel will be greatly missed by her family and any who had the privilege of knowing her.
Isabel is survived by her children, Robert Werderman of New Haven and Janet (John) Crawford of New Haven; grandchildren, Karen (Ron) Michalski and Mark (Marie) Crawford; and great-grandchildren, Valerie Crawford, Hannah Crawford, Nathan Michalski and Jenna Michalski. Isabel is predeceased by her husband, Norman Werderman in 1966; siblings, Alvin Erdman and Agnes Martin; and parents, Frank and Elma Erdman.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church, 62657 North Avenue, Ray with Rev. Edward Steeh officiating. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery, New Haven.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Hauss Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb and Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. John Lutheran Church.
