William "Bill" A. Wyss of Armada died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at St. John Hospital in Detroit at the age of 76 years.
William was born July 15, 1936 in Fostoria to Arnold and Helen (nee Bradfield) Wyss. He graduated from Capac High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy. On October 29, 1955, Bill married Penelope Dreier at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit. In 1968, Bill graduated from Wayne State University Law School. He was a Macomb County attorney for many years and a real estate broker. Bill was a member of the Macomb County Bar Association, a Michigan Bar Association Fellow and a member of the Attorney Grievance Committee. He was a former Village of Armada Attorney, a former Armada School Board Attorney, a former member of the Armada Lions Club and ACTA.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Pennye; daughters, Tammye (Tony) Jantamrian of Armada, Sherrye (Tim) Woelkers of Ray Township and Lorrye (Thom) Nealssohn of Grosse Pointe Woods; grandchildren, Angela (Guy) Lippoldt, Rebecca (Jerry) Williams, Matthew Jantamrian, Michael Jantamrian, Alayna Jantamrian, Ashley Woelkers, William Woelkers, Michael Woelkers, Abygail Nealssohn and Alexander Nealssohn; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Lippoldt, Devin, Corey and Connor Williams and Colten Jantamrian; and siblings, Norman (Marjorie) Wyss of Washington Township and Elizabeth Gee of Florida. Bill was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Wyss Thomas; granddaughter, Amye Rose; parents; and brother, Richard Wyss.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, 73919 North Ave., Armada with the Rev. Ronald Farah officiating. Visitation is Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital, American Heart Association or Armada PAL Camp.
