Ines "Mickey" Gron

Obituary

          Ines M. "Mickey" Gron of Macomb Township, formerly of St. Clair Shores, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit at the age of 84 years.

          Ines was born July 13, 1927 in Detroit, a daughter of Hector and Carmella (nee DiCristofaro) Brait.  On October 18, 1947, Ines married Zigmund R. Gron at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Detroit.  Ines was a former employee of the C&O Railroad where she did clerical work and a former employee of A.B. Dick Co. in the accounts receivable department.  She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Macomb and a former member of St. Germaine Catholic Church, St. Clair Shores and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Detroit.  Ines enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing pinochle with the St. Anthony's Pinochle Club.  She loved reading classic romance novels, loved singing and sang on the Bob-Lo Boat.

          Surviving are her husband, Zigmund; son, Zigmund M. (Gina) Gron of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Kimberly Allen of Dallas, Texas; and grandchildren, Emily Allen, Aubrey Allen and Jesse Allen.  Ines was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Robert and Margaret.

          A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile, Macomb with the Rev. Fr. Mike Hrydziuszko celebrant.  Inurnment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.

          Visitation is Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Scripture service at Hauss Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb and at church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to the 10 a.m. Mass.

          Memorial tributes to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
